Following discussions between the driving instructor and the clients of Smart Driver Academy, this list of actions was agreed. These actions are subject to continuous review and may change as the Coronavirus UK crisis evolves.
1. Signed agreement 2. A joint agreement is required to be signed by you and your instructor in advance 3. Checklist 4. A checklist will remain with the instructor for day-to-day control and compliance 5. High-risk groups 6. If you or anyone in your family is in a high-risk group, you must evaluate the risk 7. If you think the risk of taking driving lessons is too great, do not take them 8. When you believe it is safe and practical for you to restart lessons, let me know 9. Take precautions at home at all times with good hand hygiene and distancing 10. Stay Alert | Control The Virus | Save Lives 11. We must all follow current and any new Government guidelines at all times 12. Government Track and Trace measures must be followed fully if told to do so 13. If you think you have Coronavirus symptoms you must arrange to take a CV test 14. You must isolate while you await the results of your own or anyone else's CV test 15. If you test positive, self-isolate for 14 days or more until fully clear of symptoms 16. If you think you have had Coronavirus and can take an antibody test, take one 17. Driving Lessons 18. Pre-payment – all lessons must be paid for in advance of your next lesson 19. Health before your lesson – if at any point you feel abnormally unwell, cancel! 20. If anyone in your family or who you’ve been in contact with is unwell, cancel! 21. Late cancellations - cancellations of one day or more will not incur any charges 22. Late cancellations – same day cancellations must be charged at the rate of 50% 23. PPE *, yours & mine – I provide for myself & the car, you must provide your own 24. Precautions to get into the car – clean down, temperature checks, masks on, PPE * 25. Checklists (signed **) – instructor and client sign compliance checklist at start 26. During the lesson – if you are uncomfortable at any time, park-up for a break 27. Regular occasional breaks – short breaks will be scheduled every 15 minutes 28. Structure / length of lessons – lessons will be for two hours, plus a few minutes 29. Clean downs afterwards – the car will be fully cleaned-down after each lesson 30. * PPE - Personal Protective Equipment, e.g. Face Coverings, masks, gloves and hand gels. A form of seat covering will be provided and the user should dispose of any disposable seat coverings used. A secure waste bag will be needed to hold all used PPE for safe disposal. ** NB Please bring your own pens
